About Ryan Montoya, M.D.

Dr. Ryan Montoya is a family medicine physician, comic book artist, and writer. His medical practice focuses on opioid narcotic dependence. He grew up in Boston, Massachusetts and completed his undergraduate and medical studies at Harvard University and the University of Massachusetts. He has received art training at the Massachusetts College of Art, the Joe Kubert School of Art, the School of the Museum of Fine Arts Boston, and the Art Institute of Boston. He has lived and worked in the US, Bosnia and Herzegovina, and India, and is currently working on a full length graphic novel.
