Clark Regional Medical Center
Nestled in renowned Bluegrass horse country, the town of Winchester’s historical roots shape the culture of this vibrant community today. With many artistic offerings and attractions, this small town is rich in opportunity and entertainment.
Clark Regional Medical Center (CRMC) celebrated the grand opening of its new $70 million, 79-bed replacement facility in 2012, which coincided with the hospital’s 95th anniversary. Located adjacent to I-64 and the Bypass in Winchester, the hospital is the first in the state of Kentucky to feature a 100 percent geothermal heating and cooling system, which is 33 percent more energy efficient and environmentally friendly than a traditional HVAC system. In addition to the new replacement facility, a three-story, 45,000 square-foot medical plaza opened on the hospital’s campus in 2012. The $10 million facility houses family medicine, pediatrics, and urgent care, and features specialty practices such as cardiology, oncology, general surgery, gastroenterology and pulmonology. It also includes Clark Regional’s Diagnostic Center for Women, the Center for Rehabilitation, the Center for Infusion Services, a specialty clinic and anticoagulation clinic.
In May of 2015 the hospital broke ground on a 45,000 square foot expansion of the Clark Clinic which will provide space for additional physician practices as well as new services such as cardiopulmonary rehabilitation, a sleep clinic and wound care clinic. The construction is expected to be completed in 2017.
Clark Regional is fully accredited by The Joint Commission and also operates an urgent care clinic in Winchester and rural health clinics in Powell County and Montgomery County.
