For more than 50 years, Orlando Health Sebastian River Hospital has served the residents and visitors of Florida’s Treasure Coast as a comprehensive acute care facility. The hospital delivers a full spectrum of services from digestive health and radiology to neurological care and rehabilitation. Additional specialties include emergency care, heart and vascular care, orthopedics, advanced surgical services and more. In 2020, a major expansion added a spacious lobby; 48 private patient rooms; increased surgical capacity with six fully operational and two shelled OR suites; three procedure rooms; and new preoperative and postoperative patient bays — all equipped with the latest technology and sterilization and cleaning equipment.
Orlando Health Sebastian River has earned a range of recognitions, underscoring its commitment to quality and excellence. Accreditations from The Joint Commission include certifications for both the hospital and laboratory, as well as advanced certification as a Primary Stroke Center. The hospital also is an accredited Bariatric Surgery Comprehensive Center by the Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery Accreditation and Quality Improvement Program (MBSAQIP®), dedicated to enhancing the safety and quality of care for bariatric patients, and has been designated as a Blue Distinction Center+ for Bariatric Surgery by Blue Cross Blue Shield, as well as a Bariatric Center of Excellence by United Healthcare. A participant in the American College of Cardiology (ACC) CathPCI Registry®, the hospital was recognized by the ACC in the “Best Hospitals” issue of U.S. News & World Report, highlighting its commitment to excellence in heart care.
