Sovah Health-Martinsville, a Lifepoint Health Hospital in Martinsville, Virginia (1hr North of Greensboro, NC) is growing with the addition of an employed, full-time BC/BE Hematologist/Oncologist to strengthen our established team.
Those who are currently practicing or are currently in training can be considered.
Position Detail:
- Join employed Hem/Oncs and an NP, with Radiation/Oncology on-site
- Bi-weekly tumor board and clinical trial programs. Aria Oncology information system
- Averaging 25-30 per day, 100% remote telephone shared call coverage (low call volume), 95% outpatient clinic
- 10 infusion chairs, 2 quick chairs
- Inpatient treatment referred to large academic centers in the area
- Common Oncology scope breast, prostate, lung, colon, head/neck, with a large Hematology panel
- Staffed with navigators, pharmacist, pharm tech, lab tech with lab draws in office, phlebotomist, office manager, clinical director (shared with radiation oncology)
- Hospitalist group admits
- Most local cancer referrals come from GS, GI, Uro, Pulm, ENT and Neph. Good working relationship with tertiary centers in region
- ACOS-CoC accreddited
- Low turnover in the clinic with a true family atmosphere

South of Maysville is the northern terminus of Daniel Boone National Forest includes more than 660,000 acres of mostly rugged terrain with steep forested ridges, narrow ravines and more than 3,400 miles of sandstone cliffs. Sovah Health - Martinsville is a 237-bed, full service, acute-care community hospital. Memorial Hospital continues to grow and improve its health care services to meet the changing needs of the community. Recent capital improvements include a new $2.7 million MRI, a $1.1 million 16-slice CT scanner and a $1.2 million ambulatory surgery center. The hospital recently completed an expansive renovation project designed to separate inpatient and outpatient services, improve the flow of people in the hospital, and provide more convenient and efficient services to patients.
