TeamHealth has an excellent and rare opportunity at St. David's North Austin Medical Center for a full-time emergency medicine (EM) physician. Physicians must be EM trained and either board-certified or board-eligible in emergency medicine. This is a level 4 trauma emergency department (ED) with a 370-bed hospital and 23 ED beds. Annual patient volumes are at approximately 53,000 visits per year, and we staff our emergency department so that our clinicians are seeing around 1.9 to 2.2 patients per hour. St. David’s North Austin Medical Center is part of St. David’s HealthCare, one of the largest health systems in Texas, which was recognized with a Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award in 2014. The 378-bed multi-specialty, acute care facility is dedicated to the highest level of women’s health services, including maternity and newborn care with Level I, II and III nurseries at the adjacent St. David’s Women’s Center of Texas.
