About North Alabama Medical Center

North Alabama Medical Center (NAMC) is a 263-bed health care organization that will open its doors to patients on December 6, 2018. The facility is a replacement hospital for Eliza Coffee Memorial Hospital in Florence, AL.

NAMC has grown into the most comprehensive medical facility in northwest Alabama, south central Tennessee, and northeast Mississippi. The facility is the home of northwest Alabama’s only full-service heart/cardiac program. Our cardiac physicians offer the latest diagnostic and medical treatments available, along with the community’s only open-heart surgery suites and recovery facilities. In addition, ECM operates a complete line of women’s and children’s services, including dedicated OB/GYN and pediatric units.

NAMC's 24-hour emergency department serves as the primary referral center for major trauma cases in northwest Alabama. In addition, we offer a complete line of medical, oncology, pulmonary, ambulatory, endoscopy, laboratory, and imaging services. We have over 200 physicians on staff representing over 42 specialty areas of medicine.

North Alabama Medical Center (NAMC) in Florence, AL—just one hour west of Huntsville—is seeking a Board-Certified/Board-Eligible Cardiothoracic Surgeon to join its highly regarded, hospital-employed team. This is an exceptional opportunity to become part of a dynamic practice delivering top-tier care across northern Alabama.

Position Highlights:

Collaborate with a team of 3 Vascular Surgeons and 1 Cardiothoracic Surgeon in a busy, well-established practice.
Perform approximately 200 cases annually in a state-of-the-art facility equipped with 4 dedicated Vascular & Open Heart ORs, 4 Cath Labs, and Hybrid Suite.
Clinic commitment: One half-day per week (averaging 12 patients).
