Job Description

Faculty position employed by the University of Texas at Tyler School of Medicine, practicing in UT Health East Texas facilities.

 

UT Tyler School of Medicine - UT Health East Texas seeks a Pain Management physician to join a rapidly growing, procedure-driven practice. Our comprehensive program provides highly collaborative, multi-disciplinary care and access to cutting-edge technologies. We are also experiencing a period of unprecedented growth and development coupled with institutional expansion throughout east Texas, including our new pain suite that is coming soon! This is a traditional outpatient pain management practice with the opportunity to do hospital procedures. Candidates must be eligible for licensure in Texas and board certified or board eligible.

  • Standard Pain Management procedures
  • Daily Patient Load: 25
  • Mon-Fri, 8-5
  • Outpatient Clinical Call 1:5
  • EMR: Epic

 

Minimum Qualifications:

  • American Board Certified or Eligible
  • ACGME certification in interventional pain
  • Procedure-driven, works well with others, motivated to see patients
  • Ability to perform standard pain management procedures, RFA, IA joint injections, implant, Spinal Cord Stimulators, discograms, <50 MME/day management
  • Experienced and graduating pain medicine physicians are encouraged to apply

About UT Tyler School of Medicine:

The University of Texas at Tyler School of Medicine is the first medical school in East Texas and the seventh in The University of Texas System. Its mission is to train future healthcare professionals to embrace responsibility for the unique needs of rural and hard-to-reach communities and populations, particularly those in East Texas.

The school offers a robust Graduate Medical Education program, with 20 residency and fellowship training programs, enabling graduates to gain specialized skills in areas such as family medicine, internal medicine, neurology, psychiatry, surgery, and anesthesia.
