Wilkes-Barre General Hospital, a member hospital of Commonwealth Health System, Northeast Pennsylvania, and Community Health Systems, a Fortune 500 company, is seeking a BC/BE clinical cardiologist to join an emerging, dynamic, multidisciplinary cardiovascular division.
The position provides the opportunity to influence the development of an outstanding, state-of-the-art, team oriented cardiovascular service. Commonwealth Health, Wilkes-Barre General Hospital was recently recognized for their dedication to cardiovascular patients by the American College of Cardiology (ACC) in the “Best Hospitals” issue of 2024 U.S. News & World Report.
The 369-bed hospital sees over 50,000 emergency room patients, performs approximately 10,000 echocardiograms, and 2000 cardiac catheterizations, annually.
This developing program has attracted highly qualified and accomplished specialists in cardiac surgery, vascular surgery, structural cardiology, interventional cardiology, and electrophysiology. Clinical research is ongoing. There are ample educational opportunities.
An energetic, high performing clinical cardiologist is being sought. Echocardiography, cardiac imaging, and nuclear skills are preferred.
The employed position offers a highly competitive compensation package, including medical education debt reimbursement, education stipend, commencement bonus, and relocation allowances for the right candidate.
