THE COMMUNITY
Granbury, nestled on the banks of a 30-mile recreational lake and boasting a restored historical district, is a lovely resort community with exquisite dining and shopping amenities located 35 miles southwest of Fort Worth. EDUCATION
The Granbury Independent School District has soared in growth because of its proximity to the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex and its beautiful setting on picturesque Lake Granbury. Since completion of Lake Granbury in 1969, the district has grown from a small, rural district to one with an enrollment of over 5,800 students. The district anticipates an average annual growth of four percent for the next 10 years. In addition, Tarleton State University has opened a satellite campus in Granbury offering college courses at the former Chrysallis Cultural Center as well as continuing the center’s tradition of cultural programs.
