Tenet Healthcare and The Hospitals of Providence – Transmountain Campus is actively seeking an Endocrinologist to join an established practice at a brand-new academic facility.
Highlights:
- Typical work schedule includes 7 half-days of clinic per week and providing consultations/clinical services in outpatient and inpatient settings
- No call
- Daily patient census: 8–10 patients per half-day of clinic and 3-5 inpatient consults per week
- Academic responsibilities include supervising residents and participating in teaching activities for medical students and residents
- Scholarly activities include at least one peer reviewed manuscript per year and submission of abstracts or posters to national meetings
Candidate requirements:
- MD/DO degree
- BE/BC
- Active Texas license or eligibility to obtain one
- Have a passion for ambulatory care and teaching

About The Hospitals of Providence - Transmountain
A partnership with Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center (TTUHSC) El Paso, this new teaching hospital will establish the infrastructure to provide high-quality clinical care in northwest El Paso and southern New Mexico. Indeed, The Hospitals of Providence Transmountain Campus will create more than 300 jobs with a median income of $45,000.
Even more, the 106-bed facility will establish a world-class training site for the area’s future health care professionals, positioning El Paso as a regional health care hub. The new Residency programs will begin in the year 2020 and will ultimately create up to 75 new Residency slots- a critical step towards the development and retention of physicians in our community. More specifically, this hospital, through its partnership with TTUHSC El Paso, will enhance educational training in specialties such as family medicine, internal medicine, obstetrics and gynecology, psychiatry, and surgery. Additionally, the hospital will offer conventional medical services. These services will include:
