TeamHealth has an excellent opportunity to join our emergency medicine program with El Paso Children's Hospital in El Paso, Texas. We ask that candidates be board certified or board eligible in pediatric emergency medicine or emergency medicine (EM). We may consider pediatricians with EM experience. A qualified individual will have excellent oral and written skills, advanced problem solving skills, and outstanding presentation skills. The ability to work in a team environment is a must.
El Paso Children's Hospital is staffed by board certified pediatric emergency medicine doctors, nurses and specialists trained in children's emergency medicine. Over 75 top-ranked pediatric specialists are available for consult. There are 24/7 respiratory therapists, and dedicated clinical pharmacists as well. The facility also has child life specialists and social workers.

The county seat of El Paso County, Texas, El Paso lies in far West Texas with a population estimate of 674,433, making it the 19th most populous city in the U.S. The city's U.S. metropolitan area covers all of El Paso and Hudspeth counties, with a population of 831,036, and the El Paso metropolitan statistical area has a population of 1,044,496. About TeamHealth El Paso Children's Hospital
El Paso Children's Hospital (EPCH) is a 122-bed teaching hospital associated with Texas Tech University. The pediatric ED has an annual volume of 25,000 patients. EPCH has the full spectrum of pediatric specialties including pediatric imaging, pediatric inpatient and outpatient infusion, pediatric intensive care unit, pediatric operating rooms, pediatric critical care transport team, and a Level III neonatal intensive care unit. El Paso Children's Hospital has over 30 sub-specialties and is always growing. We provide 24 hours of daily physician coverage and residents rotating through the ED. There is a 24-hour inpatient pediatric Hospitalists program and we utilize Cerner EMR in our facility.
