Job Summary:

Mission Children’s is seeking a pediatric pulmonologist to join our well-established team in Asheville, NC.

Qualified Candidates:
  • Board certified/board eligible by the American Board of Pediatrics with specialty certification in pediatric pulmonology
  • Licensed or eligible for medical licensure in North Carolina
  • Ability to see an average of 20 patients per day

About Mission Children’s:
Mission Children’s is the region’s only children’s hospital covering western North Carolina with 60 pediatric subspecialists in 23 different disciplines
  • 51-bed, Level-III NICU staffed by our Neonatology team
  • 19 bed Pediatric Unit
  • 9 Bed PICU staffed by our Pediatric Intensivist team
  • Opportunity to work with MAHEC Family Medicine Residents and UNC Medical Students
  • Strong MFM program and new MFM Fellowship; good relationships with OBs and MAHEC OB/GYN Residency
  • An average of 3,000 patient admissions to our pediatric inpatient units
  • Approximately 4,500 pediatric surgeries, and 14,000 pediatric visits to our emergency department per year
