**Position at a Glance**
We are seeking a BC/BE physician who is passionate about delivering a first-class primary care experience to patients in rural central Ohio. As a licensed healthcare professional, you will restore and support patient health by practicing evidence-based medicine. You will review medical histories, conduct physical exams, diagnose illnesses and injuries, collaborate on treatment plans, and counsel patients on health and well-being.

**What You'll Do**
· Provide services in the primary care field of medicine for which the physician is trained.
· Expected to provide the number of budgeted patient visits annually as determined each year and adjusted with notice- this is minimal expectation.
· Observe and conform to the standards of the group.
· Active collaboration with and supervision of other health care providers including but not limited to Nurse Practitioners.
· Maintenance of all required licensure, certification, registration, training, medical knowledge (including but not limited to new or changing treatments and standards of care), and or expertise to meet the needs of patients as determined by the organization.
· Maintaining on a current basis all appropriate patient records, and likewise to observe and conform to all laws, customs and ethics applicable to the medical profession.
· Collaborate in a professional and collegial manner with all members of the health care team regardless of level of licensure.
· Practice, communicate, and embody the dispassionate and unbiased delivery of care regardless of personal bias or prejudice and as appropriate for a professional of the rank of staff physician.
· Compliance with administrative standards including but not limited to medical reports as outlined by the Chief Medical Officer.
· Communicate with the Chief Medical Officer all matters relating to malpractice insurance status, including notification of any claims and full compliance with the risk management policies and procedures.
· Participation in Clinic staff meetings and other meetings as required by the Chief Medical Officer.
· Provide assistance to Chief Medical Officer with ongoing Quality Assurance Plan or other Quality improvement initiatives when required.
· Participation in good faith in peer review audit of charts as designated.
· Practice good stewardship of clinic and community resources by providing cost effective and efficient care to the patients in our charge.
· To be available by Cell Phone after Clinic hours and on weekends as required.
· To be available by Cell phone to Nurse Practitioners/ Physicians Assistants for consultation if off premises as required and regardless of scheduled work days.
· Other duties as assigned.
**Requirements**
Education, Licenses, Skills And Experiences Required.
· Current Ohio license to practice medicine: MD or DO.
· Must be Board certified or provide proof of qualification to sit for certification with expectation of obtaining certification within one year.
· BLS provider certification.
· DEA license.
· Strong clinical assessment and analytical skills.
· Self-directed professional with strong organizational skills.
**Preferred Skills For This Role**
· 2-3 years experience in an outpatient setting.
· Experience with mental health patients and diagnosis.
· Experience with and knowledge of Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHCs).
· Experience with Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT).
