Permanent Position
Join a dedicated Hospitalist team in Waterloo, IA with approximately 35% of shifts Medical Center. This role offers the opportunity to provide comprehensive inpatient care in a collaborative and supportive environment.
Position Highlights:
- Schedule: 7 days on, 7 days off rotating schedule
- Manage patients through the continuum of hospital care, including ER admissions, critical care, and post-acute care planning
- Perform thorough patient evaluations, analyze diagnostic tests, and develop treatment plans
- Prescribe and administer medications, therapies, and specialized medical care
- Collaborate with medical and surgical consultants, discharge planners, and other hospital staff
- Act as the principal contact for hospital patients and their families, providing clear explanations and updates
- Oversee and provide medical direction for Advanced Practice Providers
- Participate in Code Blue resuscitations and place central lines in elective, urgent, and emergent situations
- Maintain communication with referring physicians and ensure smooth transitions of care
Requirements:
- Medical Degree (MD or DO)
- Completion of an ACGME- or AOA-accredited Internal Medicine residency program
- Valid Iowa medical license
