Position Description:

Pediatricians at Health System diagnose and treat pediatric diseases and injuries in an inpatient setting. Our work in the inpatient setting includes both newborns and pediatric patients.

The position includes:

- conducting comprehensive evaluations of patients
- performing diagnostic and therapeutic procedures
- assessing patient status relative to hospital admissions and discharges
- prescribing medications and treatments
- attending C-sections
- consulting with colleagues on patient management and treatment plans

Our Pediatricians participate in 1:10 call which covers the emergency department, the nursery, and the level II special care nursery. Weekend call is divided into Friday evening/Sunday or Saturday and pediatric nurse phone triage is available on nights and weekends.
