The Department of Pediatrics at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine and UPMC Children’s Hospital are recruiting a recruiting for a faculty position at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor outside the tenure stream in the Division of Pediatric Emergency Medicine in Pittsburgh, PA. The candidate must have completed a Pediatric Emergency Medicine Fellowship program and be Board Certified/Eligible in Pediatric Emergency Medicine. Must have an MD or equivalent with the ability to obtain an unrestricted PA license. H1B visa sponsorship available.
Opportunity Details
- Join a Division with38 pediatric emergency medicine faculty, 3 general pediatrician faculty as well as thirty advanced practice providers
- You will join an outstanding pediatric emergency medicine fellowship training program, including nine fellows
- Schedule is 13 shifts per month
- Rotating shift schedule to days, nights and weekends
- Clinical academic appointment
- 80% clinical and 20% teaching/administrative
- Faculty responsibilities include patient care, house staff and student education, and academic pursuits.
- Division faculty teach pediatric emergency medicine fellows, pediatric residents from UPMC Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh, emergency medicine residents from the University of Pittsburgh Department of Emergency Medicine, and visiting residents from area programs in Family Medicine and Emergency Medicine.
