Job Summary:

The Ortho-Neuro APP is responsible for facilitating and assisting patients through the healthcare continuum, including the holistic knowing of patients, enhanced communication among caregivers and lateral integration of care.  The Navigator should possess a specialized knowledge in horizontal leadership and is accountable for the management of care and the care environment.  In addition to a professional preparation, the Navigator shall possess enhanced clinical skills in an Orthopedic and Spine unit setting and is responsible for a group of patients in that setting.  The Navigator is also expected to collaborate with staff ranging from physicians, RNs, LPNs, PT, and Case Managers and Nurse technicians.  The Navigator shall establish a strong partnership with the nursing and medical staff to deliver optimal care ensuring safety and quality outcomes with 24 hour accountability. The activities of the ARNP are subject to the review and monitoring by the sponsoring physician.
