Job Summary:
Methodist Hospital Northeast is recruiting skilled and dedicated emergency medicine physicians to join our collegial team at Methodist ER Converse in San Antonio, Texas. |
- Must be BC/BE in EM (MD or DO) and EM residency trained
- Possess strong communication skills
- Expertise in the evaluation and management of acute medical emergencies
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with sound judgment and decision-making skills
Incentive/ Position Details:
- 20,000 annual volume with 10-15% pediatric cases
- 12 all private treatment rooms
- 24 hours of physician coverage with 12 hours of Advanced Practice Provider coverage
- PALS certification
- 1099 position- up to 120 hours available
- Meditech EMR
Methodist ER Converse and Methodist Healthcare System:
- 12 all-private treatment rooms and a full range of services
- Radiology, full-service laboratory, and telemetry
- Specific on-site diagnostic equipment will include: 64-slice CT scanner, dedicated x-ray suite, ultrasound, and telemetry equipment
- Immediate intervention for serious emergencies where treatment time is critical with quick transfer capabilities to any Methodist Healthcare facility
- 24-hour monitoring and testing of patients, such as chest pain cases
- Use of a Picture Archiving Communications System (PACS) to allow staff to electronically transmit any diagnostic image from the Methodist ER Converse to any Methodist credentialed physician’s office, specialist, or any Methodist hospital emergency room for seamless follow-up

About Methodist Hospital Northeast
Located in the suburb of Live Oak, Northeast Methodist Hospital is a 153-bed facility serving the healthcare needs of the surrounding Randolph Metrocom community of northeast San Antonio. Conveniently located off of Interstate 35 and Judson Road (San Antonio to Austin corridor), Northeast Methodist Hospital has developed an array of services to meet the health care needs of the surrounding community for the past 20 years. Services include emergency care for adults and children, open heart surgery, cardiac catherization, general surgery, orthopedics, rehabilitation, gastroenterology, behavioral medicine and cancer care.
The hospital is one of the fastest growing cardiology programs in South Texas; an additional catherization lab and expanded CICU beds were recently added to keep up with the demands of cardiology patients.
There is a medical office building directly beside the campus and the Northeast Methodist Ambulatory Surgery Center is adjacent to the hospital.
