Breast Radiology Physician - Central New Jersey
- Location(s – Currently, 3 main comprehensive sites: These 3 sites require Radiologist coverage. System also has 3 screening only satellites. They have plans to build a 4th comprehensive center as part of a freestanding ambulatory care center.
- There are 4 employed breast surgeons across the system. NPs supporting breast surgery, dedicated breast navigators, RN supporting interventional procedures one site.
- Currently 5 other regular Radiologists
- Mammography, Breast MRI, US. All breast imaging and intervention. Prioritization to Dx and Bx procedures. Screening and Diagnostic Mammograms, Ultrasounds, MRIs, Stereotactic Bx, Ultrasound Guided Bx, MRI Bx, Needle Localizations, Wireless Localization using Magseed. All sites use Hologic 3D mammography, Hologic stereotactic tables, US is a mix of Siemens, Supersonic, GE, and Mindray.
- 3D tomosynthesis, screening & diagnostic mammography, biopsies, Ultrasound, Dexascan, localization and MR guided biopsies. General Radiology interprets the Dexas which are only at some locations. One site provides pelvic US but they are also interpreted by general radiology.
- 100% Breast
- One facility has a radiology residency
- No call
- Volume: May vary a bit by site. Expectation around 15 Dx per day (Mammo/US), 5-6 Bx or localizations. Currently providers read screenings as well during their day but could change the model to offer protected screening time as team gets to target staffing level.
Qualifications:
- Board Eligible/Board Certified
- Strongly prefer Fellowship trained.
- NJ State Medical license and fluoroscopy license & operators permit required
Compensation Package:
- $475k; wRVU productivity bonus >9,500 wRVUs.
- Currently $30k quality bonus
- Relocation
- Signing and Retention bonuses can also be offered.
- Malpractice, medical, vision and dental provided
- Retirement
- $4k books, journals, memberships, CME etc. Employer covers DEA and CDS fees incurred during employment and medical staff dues.

- Life and disability insurance.
- Restrictive Covenant: generally limits medical practice within a 10 mile radius from each main site for 2 years.
