GI Hospitalist
UPMC located in Williamsport, PA is seeking a BC/BE Gastroenterologist to join our Center for Digestive Diseases as a GI Hospitalist. This dynamic group physicians and APPs is committed to providing the latest techniques & advanced procedures to their patients for the diagnosis, prevention and treatment of gastrointestinal and liver diseases.
Position Highlights include:
- 7 days on/7 days off block schedule
- Dedicated PA/NP support, available to round on inpatients and answer questions from hospitalists/nursing staff
- Inpatient consults and procedures with minimal outpatient procedures
- Dedicated procedure room available every day
- Average inpatient census - 3 to 6 new consults with total of 8 to 20 total patients
- All procedures are CRNA supported with anesthesiologist support and oversight
- Answering service takes after hours calls (prep issues, refills, etc)
- Collegial and supportive Hospitalist service
- Support from Interventional Radiology, Acute Care Surgery, Vascular Surgery
- Radiology with US, CT, MRI/MRCP available on campus
- Therapeutic endoscopist on staff (EUS/ERCP/luminal stenting, etc)
