Job Summary:
The Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist administers general, regional, and monitored anesthesia care. Performs anesthesia-related procedures at the discretion of and under the supervision of an attending anesthesiologist.
- Pre-anesthesia assessment and medication
- Requesting laboratory/diagnostic studies
- Administering general anesthesia including but limited to general anesthesia, epidural, caudal, upper and lower extremities and nerve blocks.
- Excellent understanding and skills with sedation techniques
- Cardiopulmonary resuscitation management
- Invasive and noninvasive monitoring
- Provides Post anesthesia care/discharge

Education and Experience Required:
- Graduate of a nurse anesthesia educational program accredited by the Council on Accreditation of Nurse Anesthesia Educational Programs.
- Insurable by an appropriate medical malpractice insurer as required by the state of Indiana.
Mandatory Licensure/Certifications:
- Must hold current state licensure as a registered nurse in the state of Indiana.
- Must comply with any applicable state statutory or regulatory requirements.
