This position is 100% outpatient services and no in-person call.
The physician is responsible to respond to CPH inpatient hospital consults every other week.
Coverage needed in Potsdam (Canton-Potsdam Hospital, CPH) and Gouverneur (Gouverneur Hospital, GH).
Collaborative environment working with psychologists, LCSWs, therapists and nurses.
Psychiatrists will see patients 6+ years of age to geriatric range of patients.
Financial Package
Compensation: **$308,000 - $400,700**

Pay Summary: The listed base pay range is a good faith representation of current potential base pay for a successful full time applicant. It may be modified in the future and eligible for additional pay components. Pay is determined by factors including experience, relevant qualifications, specialty, internal equity, location, and contracts.
In addition to the base pay range, certain provider positions may be eligible for variable compensation in accordance with health system pay practices. This may include: productivity and/or value-based clinical incentives, bonus compensation, or other forms of variable pay.
Location/Area
Canton and Potsdam are small, rural, college communities 11 miles apart with two colleges in each village. The primary sources of income are higher education and dairy farming, giving the area a stable economy and attractive appearance. Located between the St. Lawrence River and the foothills of the Adirondacks, the area offers something for every outdoor enthusiast from downhill and cross-country skiing, to hiking and mountain biking, to kayaking, camping, and swimming. Montreal and Ottawa are within easy driving distance.
The Village of Canton has a population of 7,000 residents, rising to 13,000 when its two colleges are in session. Canton is the county seat of St. Lawrence County and is the home of the County Courthouse and numerous historical sites.
The Village of Potsdam has a population of 10,000, rising to 18,000 when its two local colleges are in session. It is nestled in the St. Lawrence River Valley near the northern foothills of the Adirondack Mountains. Potsdam is known as a center for health care, education, and retail trade in Northern NY.
