Job Description

Lifepoint Rehabilitation in partnership with Southwestern Medical Center is seeking a Medical Director for our 14 bed inpatient acute rehab unit in Lawton, OK. 

The Medical Director position will collaborate with the Program Director and the entire clinical team to provide medical direction in conformance with the facility's policies and procedures, state and federal laws and regulations, including the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) and The Joint Commission.

Lawton is located just 90 easy miles southwest of Oklahoma City on Interstate 44, in the heart of the Great Plains Country, an area well known for its abundant lakes, world-class fishing and hunting. Mount Scott, which rises 2,500 feet above the plains, provides some of the most breathtaking scenery in the state.

Located just 90 easy miles southwest of Oklahoma City on Interstate 44, Lawton is the third largest city in Oklahoma. Fort Sill, located just north of the city, is home of the United States Army Field Artillery. Visitors to the Lawton/Fort Sill Historic Landmark and Museum can see a large collection of 20th century artillery known as the Cannon Walk, view historic buildings originally constructed by Buffalo Soldiers and visit the famous Native American burial sites of Geronimo and Quanah Parker.

Lawton is located in the heart of the Great Plains Country, an area well known for its abundant lakes and world-class fishing and hunting. Mount Scott, which rises 2,500 feet above the plains, provides some of the most breathtaking scenery in the state and a chance to view free-roaming bison, longhorn cattle, whitetail deer and elk. The Wichita Mountains Wildlife Refuge, established in 1901, provides a habitat for large grazing animals on its 59,020 acres. The refuge is also home to approximately 400 species of animals, birds, reptiles and amphibians, and more than 800 plant species.
