Acute Care Surgeon needed in Carrollton, GA (Permanent)
Approx 40 minutes to Atlanta, GA
Schedule: Monday Friday, 7am 5pm; no weeknight call coverage responsibilities; weekend call coverage evenly split with general surgery physician colleagues
Requirements: M.D. or D.O. degree from an accredited medical or osteopathic school; unrestricted Georgia physician license (or ability to obtain); residency trained in General Surgery; board certified or eligible in General Surgery
Job Duties & Responsibilities:
Provide coverage primarily for inpatient and emergency department consults at two acute care hospitals located in Carrollton, GA, and Villa Rica, GA
Receive ED calls, transfers, and referrals from critical access hospitals in Bremen, GA, and Wedowee, AL
Facility Highlights:
Carrollton Surgical Group consists of 6 board-certified general surgeons and 4 full-time APPs
The hospital in Carrollton is a 181-bed (and growing) acute care facility
The hospital in Villa Rica is a 53-bed (and growing) acute care facility
