Job Description
We are seeking a qualified and dedicated Emergency Medicine Physician to join our team on a locums basis in Tell City, IN. This position involves providing comprehensive emergency medical care in a critical access hospital setting with 24/7 EM coverage. The ideal candidate will be committed to delivering high-quality care and able to adapt to a variety of emergency situations.
In this role, you will work flexible 12 or 24-hour in-house call shifts, ensuring that the emergency department has continuous coverage. You will be part of a critical access hospital with an annual ED volume of 9,120 patients. The hospital features 25 beds, including 8 ED beds, and uses the EDIS (Medhost) EMR system for accurate and timely medical record keeping. The emergency department is equipped with 2 fully equipped trauma rooms and 6 treatment rooms, allowing you to handle a range of medical, surgical, and trauma cases.
Requirements:
  • Board Certified in Emergency Medicine, Family Medicine, or Internal Medicine
  • Active Indiana Medical License and DEA certification
  • Current certifications in ACLS, ATLS, BLS, and PALS (ATLS certification can be obtained within the first year of privileges if not ABEM-certified
