Pediatric Endocrinologist for Call and Clinic Coverage in North Carolina
Position: Pediatric Endocrinologist
Location: North Carolina
Requirements:
- Must have NC license and DEA
- Board certified in Pediatric Endocrinology
Job Details:
- Call Coverage:
- Mostly phone calls (mommy clinic calls + hospital/ER phone calls)
- Unrestricted home call
- Need to come in only for new diabetic consults (typically a 48-hour admission, requiring at least one visit to meet the family and arrange follow-up)
- Hospitalists admit and manage most patients with phone call support
- Clinic Coverage:
- 8-hour day shifts, Monday through Friday
- 24-hour call coverage from Monday through Sunday
EMR System:
- Cerner PowerChart
Support Staff:
- 1 Registered Nurse (RN)
- 1 Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)
- 1 Medical Assistant (MA)
- 1 Referral Coordinator/Scheduler
- Centralized registration team
