Job Description

Looking for an opportunity to provide excellent patient care while advancing your career as a hospitalist? Look no further! We are looking to add a nocturnist hospitalist to our team at Turkey Creek Medical Center in Knoxville, Tennessee. This position offers a flexible 7-on/7-off block schedule working the 7p-7a shift with our skilled hospital medicine (HM) team! 

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide inpatient care during night shifts, including admissions and cross-coverage
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary team to ensure continuity of care
  • Manage acute changes in clinical status and respond to medical emergencies
  • Oversee the care of patients in a variety of settings, including medical-surgical units, ICU and telemetry
  • Participate in hand-offs and ensure thorough communication between day and night teams
  • Serve as a resource for nursing staff and other healthcare providers during night shifts
Qualifications:
  • MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
  • Board certification or eligibility in internal medicine or family medicine
  • Strong clinical skills with the ability to manage a wide range of complex conditions
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and make sound medical decisions
  • Commitment to patient safety and quality care
