Senior Medical Coder
Role Description:• This is a full-time remote role for a Senior Medical Coder for supporting major national hospital systems. • The Senior Medical Coder will be responsible for assigning diagnostic and procedural codes to patient records, ensuring accuracy and compliance with coding guidelines.• The role involves analyzing medical records, abstracting clinical data, assigning appropriate codes, and participating in coding audits and training sessions.
Qualifications• Coding Experience, Medical Terminology, and Medical Coding skill• Experience working with Hospital Coding 3 years• RHIT (Registered Health Information Technician) certification• Health Information Management knowledge• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in coding practices• Ability to work independently and remotely• Familiarity with medical billing and reimbursement processes• Proficiency in ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS Level II coding systems• Experience working with Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems
