NP/PA Orthopedic Surgery opening in Vermont
Located in Rutland, VT - Manchester, NH 120m; Albany, NY 90m
Full-time, permanent opening

Overview:
- Well-established practice currently consisting of 6 Orthopedic Surgeons, 4 Non-Operative Sports Medicine Physicians, one DO, one Clinical Psychologist, 7 APPs and 3 Athletic Trainers
- This position requires office and OR First Assist skill mix
- Schedule M-F, 8:00am 4:30pm
- Call consists of, on average, one day a week and one weekend a month
- Provides healthcare services to patients by following established standards, procedures, and practices in their area of specialty under the direction of the Medical Director and/or physician.
- Obtains detailed patient history and performs physical or psychological examinations.
- Performs or orders diagnostic procedures such as X-rays, electrocardiograms, laboratory tests, and interprets results.
- Administers therapeutic procedures including injections, immunizations, suturing, and wound care.
- Assists physicians during surgery or medical procedures.
- Instructs patients on prescribed therapeutic regimens, home care, and health maintenance.
- Evaluates outcomes of direct patient care and consults with other specialists as required.
- Maintains required records and writes progress notes on patient charts regarding status, treatments, and procedures.
- Provides preventative health care services to long-term patients and arranges consultations and referrals.
Facility: 144-bed hospital located in Rutland, Vermont. It is the largest community hospital in the state and the second-largest hospital overall. Facility offers a wide range of specialty clinics and services, including advanced diagnostic imaging, radiation therapy, and a diagnostic cardiovascular and angiographic lab.
