NP/PA General Surgery opening in New York
- Located in Potsdam, NY (Ottawa, CN 90m; Montreal, CN 100m)

Key Responsibilities:
- Interprets and evaluates written standards relevant to services within area of practice.
- Monitors, reviews, and implements current nursing practice in light of changing concepts, methods, techniques and written standards of care.
- Demonstrates advanced nursing physical assessment skills.
- Initiates and interprets laboratory tests, x-rays, and other diagnostic tests as appropriate.
- Identifies differential diagnoses and prioritizes patient health needs.
- Discriminates between normal and abnormal findings.
- Establishes a plan of patient care.
- Seeks consultation with other health team members (NPs are full scope at RRH and do not practice under practice agreement)
- Implements plan of care in safe, effective and professional manner.
- Performs therapeutic and corrective measures within area of expertise in collaboration with other health team members.

St. Lawrence and Clarkson universities both host Division 1 men's and women's hockey teams, and local residents thrill in their team rivalry.
- Canton and Potsdam are located within an 80-mile radius of some of the world's most exciting cultural and tourism destinations. To the North across the St. Lawrence River are cosmopolitan Ottawa and Montreal, with shopping, dining, museum attractions, and concerts venues, such as Canada's National Ballet and world-famous Montreal Jazz Festival.
