Biostatistician and Research Regulatory Specialist Clinical Research/Part-Time

POSITION SUMMARY: The Biostatistician and Research Regulatory Specialist will play a dual role in our Research department. This individual will provide biostatistical expertise to support the design, analysis, and interpretation of data for research, quality improvement, and performance improvement projects. They will also ensure that these projects, as well as clinical trials taking place within the department, comply with regulatory requirements and guidelines.
Requirements
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
EDUCATION: Bachelor's degree in biostatistics, statistics, epidemiology, public health or related field.
CERTIFICATION/LICENSES: Certificate of training in Good Clinical Practice must be completed within 1 month of hire.
SKILLS:
- Proficient in programming and application of common statistical methods in medical and clinical research, such as SAS, STATA, R or another commonly accepted analytical programming language.
- Proficiency in using computer databases, spreadsheets and word processing software, and electronic health systems used in research environment, or have a willingness to learn and demonstrate proficiency within six months of hire
- Requires excellent oral and written communication skills
- Requires excellent organizational skills and some knowledge of federal legislation regarding human subject research and the provision of health care
- Proficient in organizing and examining data
- Must be able to produce clear and concise products
- Must be thorough in gathering and reporting information
- Must be flexible and be able to relate well with a variety of people.
EXPERIENCE: Three years of experience in performance improvement, clinical research, public health or a healthcare related field required.
NATURE OF SUPERVISION:
-Responsible to: Regional Research Manager

- Bloodborne pathogen B
General office environment, frequent contact with patients, VDT exposure.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Long periods of sitting at times. Keyboard usage with sound ergonomic principles. Must be flexible in work schedule and willing to travel between research sites
