Job Summary:
Methodist Hospital Stone Oak is seeking a skilled and dedicated Emergency Medicine Physician to join our collegial team at Methodist ER Bulverde in San Antonio, Texas.Qualified Candidates:
• Must be BC/BE in EM (MD or DO) and EM residency trained
• Strong communication skills
• Expertise in the evaluation and management of acute medical emergencies
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with sound judgment and decision-making skills.
Incentives/Benefits:
• 1099 position - up to 120 hours available
Facility Information:
• Avg 18-22 patients per 24 hrs with anticipated rapid growth with staff support to grow as patient volumes grow.
• 12 exam rooms
• 24 hours of physician coverage
• Shifts: 7a-7p and 7p-7a

Methodist Hospital Stone Oak’s new standalone emergency room (ER) – Bulverde, a department of Methodist Hospital Stone Oak Hospital, is a state-of-the-art ER is staffed with board-certified emergency room physicians and nurses, 24-hours a day, 365 days a year. Methodist ER Bulverde is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and provides emergency medical care for adults and children. Our emergency services team is fully trained and equipped to handle a variety of adult and pediatric conditions, including:
• Heart attack
• Cardiac arrest
• Respiratory arrest
• Cardiac arrhythmias
• Stroke
• Trauma
• Seizures
• Pulmonary conditions
Once stabilized, patients may be transported to a Methodist Healthcare facility in San Antonio, if necessary.

Methodist Stone Oak Hospital, The Hospital of the Future. 132-bed comprehensive tertiary care hospital with outpatient services. Overall master plan includes the possibility of as many as 350 beds. Advanced technology like bedside admitting, eMAR, ePOM and PACS will result in more efficient and higher quality of care. An emergency center designed to serve adults and children will incorporate design and infrastructure changes to enhance the patient/ family experience. Facility includes an attached 120,00 square foot Medical Office Building that will house physicians of all specialties.
