Job Description
Are you looking to bring your leadership skills to fruition? If so, join our team in El Paso, Texas, at Del Sol Medical Center. The hospitalists here enjoy a collegial team environment, a group-oriented focus and admirable stability. Enjoy this well-oiled group of hospitalists and utilize your leadership skills to help them continue to thrive and grow while assisting our facility medical director with administrative duties. We are seeking an associate medical director who is board certified in internal medicine (IM) or family medicine (FM) with leadership experience.

Del Sol Medical Center is a 379 bed facility that is staffed with 5 daytime physicians (7a-7p) and 1 nocturnist physician (7p-7a). We are currently averaging 100 daily encounters during the day with 8 admissions at night. We do have the assistance of residents throughout both shifts assisting with admissions. The 22 bed ICU is closed and with a fully staffed intensivist team daily. We have all specialty support available for any consults needed daily. The EMR currently being used is Meditech.

In addition to the main hospitalist department, we have a Continuity Clinic tied to the ACGME residency program. It is typically staffed with 4 residents and 1 attending physician at any given time. The clinic work is not mandatory and would be worked on your off days if your interested!

The county seat of El Paso County, Texas, El Paso lies in far West Texas with a population estimate of 674,433, making it the 19th most populous city in the U.S. The city's U.S. metropolitan area covers all of El Paso and Hudspeth counties, with a population of 831,036, and the El Paso metropolitan statistical area has a population of 1,044,496.
