Job Summary:
Asheville Cardiology Associates, a partner of Mission Health, is seeking a Heart Failure Physician for our expanding Advanced Heart Failure Therapies ProgramQualified Candidates:
- Board certified or board eligible in advanced heart failure
- Practicing physicians and new grads are encouraged to apply
- Please note that this position does not offer visa support
- Will be part of a team to include 3 HF Physicians, 2 advanced practice providers, 3 LVAD Coordinators, 2 dedicated clinic RN’s and 1 pharmacist
- Candidates should be proficient in caring for patients with end-stage left and right heart diseases including: LVAD, acute mechanical circulatory support, pulmonary hypertension, infiltrative heart diseases and post heart transplantation.
- Responsibilities will include inpatient and outpatient rotations, cardiac catheterization, endomyocardial biopsy and echocardiography including TEE.
- Participate with scholarly education and research activities with residents and allied healthcare professionals

Asheville Cardiology Associates is the largest cardiovascular diseases practice in western North Carolina, with more than 35 cardiologists and 20 advanced practice providers, who provide a full range of cardiac care including subspecialties of interventional (including structural heart disease), electrophysiology (including complex ablation), imaging (including dedicated cardiac MRI), general cardiology and advanced heart failure.
The advanced heart failure therapies (AHFT) program has 3 advanced heart failure/transplant board certified cardiologists who provide inpatient, outpatient, imaging and invasive services.
As partners with Mission Health System, the practice supports the 19 western counties of North Carolina with tertiary care.
Our program is the sole provider of life saving LVAD therapy for our region (19 counties and more than 1.2 million people).
