The Orlando Health Jewett Orthopedic Institute is seeking a Board Eligible/Board Certified - Orthopedic Spine Surgeon to join our team at Orlando Health Jewett Orthopedic Institute – Four Corners and Orlando Health Jewett Orthopedic Institute – Osceola/Hunters Creek. Surgical care will be provided at the recently opened Jewett Orthopedic Hospital, ASC Jewett, Orlando Health - Health Central Hospital or Orlando Health Horizon West Hospital.
Qualified candidates must have completed an ACGME or AOA Spine fellowship training program and be BE/BC in orthopedic surgery. Candidates should also demonstrate a strong commitment to patient care, research, teaching and cross-collaboration amongst multiple specialties.
Role Requirements:
· Board Eligible/Board Certified in Orthopedic Surgery
· Fellowship trained in Spine Surgery
· FL Medical License or ability to obtain FL Medical License
· Call – General Ortho call is required with a minimum of 5 days a month simultaneously covering Orlando Health - Health Central Hospital and Orlando Health Horizon West Hospital.
· Schedule – 3 days of clinic and 2 days of OR.

The Orlando Health Jewett Orthopedic Institute Downtown Complex’s outpatient medical pavilion opened in spring of 2023. Providing a full scope of outpatient services, features include advanced imaging services, including virtual reality; the state’s largest ambulatory surgery center with 12 operating rooms; a 63-exam-room clinic for sports medicine, orthopedic trauma and general orthopedics; and state-of-the-art physical therapy space.
The institute’s orthopedic specialty hospital opened in August 2023 and is a showcase of technical and patient-flow innovations designed to provide the ultimate patient experience. The only facility of its kind in Florida, it includes 75 private inpatient “smart” rooms, a state-of-the-art research and innovation center with a 10-station bio skills lab and 3D printer, and a 116-seat auditorium ideal for educational symposiums and conferences.
Orlando Health Jewett Orthopedic Institute also trains future orthopedic specialists through the graduate medical education program. The Journal of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons ranks Orlando Health’s orthopedic residency fourth in the United States.
