Pulmonologist Role in a Welcoming, Family-Centered Community: UPMC Hamot in Erie, PA!

The pulmonology team is seeking a motivated pulmonologist to join the UPMC Hamot Comprehensive Lung Center. As a member of the team, you will work alongside Stephen P. Kovacs, DO, FCCP. Dr. Kovacs is nationally recognized for applying minimally invasive techniques for reach detection of lung cancer and specializes in managing rare genetic forms of COPD. UPMC Hamot was first in U.S. to use innovative robotic technology to detect lung cancer in the early stages.
Candidates must be fellowship trained in Pulmonary and BC/BE. Interventional pulmonology skills would be an added plus. The physician will be expected to participate in multidisciplinary conferences, quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the teaching of medical students and residents. This is an outstanding opportunity to have the best of all worlds at a top academic medical center with plenty of opportunities to collaborate, perform research, and teach.
The clinical scope:
- Established practice: Four physicians (three full-time and one part-time) and four APP’s. Sleep physicians include Neurology training.
- Pulmonary operates five days/week. Pulmonary inpatient Hospital Consult service operates seven days/week.
- Pulmonary procedural work includes: Robotic Bronchoscopy / EBUS / Debulking / Cryo.
- Pulmonary Clinic has all types of pathology (e.g., Asthma, COPD, ILD, CF, Lung Nodules/Masses, PH).
Candidates can expect:
- Competitive base salary commensurate with experience/training
