Locums Hematology Oncology Physician
We are
seeking a skilled Locums Hematology Oncology Physician to join our clinic in
Red Bluff, California. The physician will be responsible for overseeing all
aspects of hematology and oncology patient care, including diagnosis, staging,
precision medicine, symptom management, and treatment. This role involves
managing the Oncology/Hematology Clinic and Infusion Services, with the
requirement to be onsite for all treatments provided in the Infusion Center.
Treatments include chemotherapy, immunotherapy, blood/platelet transfusions,
hormone therapy, antibiotic therapy, rheumatoid arthritis injections, and
therapeutic phlebotomies.
The
average daily census includes 15-21 patients from Monday to Thursday, with 3/4
of appointments assigned to the physician’s schedule. The physician will manage
around 10 patients per day, 1-2 of which will be new patients. Call coverage is
24/7 for the entire week, averaging about five calls per day. The Infusion
Center is equipped with seven infusion chairs and utilizes iKnowmed EMR in the
clinic and Cerner for infusion services. Bone marrow biopsies are referred to
an outside provider.
Requirements:
- ACLS and BLS certifications
- Board Certification in
Hematology/Oncology
- DEA License
- Active California Medical License
