Location: Jersey Shore Hospital, PA
Position Overview:
The orthopedic surgeon will diagnose and treat musculoskeletal problems such as congenital deformities, trauma, infections, tumors, and degenerative diseases of the extremities and spine in both children and adults
Provides care for patients with a range of issues affecting hands, feet, knees, hips, shoulders, and elbows
Involves preservation, investigation, and restoration of form and function of the musculoskeletal system through medical, surgical, and physical means
May also address primary and secondary muscular issues and complications from central or peripheral nervous system lesions affecting the musculoskeletal system
Requirements:
Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) required
Licensed Medical Doctor in the State of Pennsylvania
Skills in patient care, procedural skills, systems-based practice, and professional etiquette
Responsibilities
Conducts patient interviews to obtain detailed medical histories and symptoms
Orders and interprets diagnostic tests as necessary
Diagnoses and formulates treatment plans for injuries or illnesses
Maintains detailed patient records, including treatment plans and outcomes
Complies with all organizational policies and procedures
