Location: Danville, PA
Position Overview:
The physician will provide continuous care in the field of sports medicine, focusing on enhancing health, fitness, and the prevention and management of injuries and illnesses. The role includes expertise in exercise physiology, biomechanics, nutrition, psychology, physical rehabilitation, and epidemiology. The physician will dedicate at least 70% of their time to nonsurgical orthopedic procedures.
Responsibilities:
Interview patients to gather symptoms, medical histories, and family histories.
Perform and/or interpret diagnostic tests as needed.
Diagnose and design treatment plans for injuries and illnesses.
Prescribe or administer medications as appropriate.
Maintain and review patient records, including history, examination findings, treatment plans, and outcomes.
Requirements:
Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) required.
Licensed Medical Doctor in the State of Pennsylvania.
Strong skills in patient care, procedural skills, and professional etiquette.
Highlights:
The role is performed primarily in a clinical and office environment.
Requires compliance with all relevant policies and procedures, with essential competencies provided during orientation.
