**Locums Interventional Cardiologist - Coos Bay, OR** **Coverage Need** - ASAP - On Call: Shared for both general and interventional call - Weekend Description: On call shared for both general and interventional call **Position Details** - Responsible for seeing inpatient hospital patients, clinic patients, rotating into the cardiac Cath Lab schedule, covering an imaging rotation, and sharing general and interventional call. - Privileges include assessing, stabilizing, and determining the disposition of patients with emergent conditions. - Will perform core interventional cardiology procedures such as: - Intracoronary foreign body retrieval - Intracoronary infusion of pharmacologic agents including thrombolytic medications - Intracoronary stents, balloon angioplasty, and other commonly used interventional devices - Intra-aortic balloon pump catheter insertion and post-patient care - May request privileges for: - Peripheral vascular angiography, angioplasty, and stenting - Carotid stenting, endovascular grafts of the aorta - Permanent pacemaker implantation and other implant devices such as AICD **Submissions Requirements** - Must be Board Certified in Internal Medicine - Must be Board Certified in Interventional Cardiology or have completed a Certificate of Added Qualification in Interventional Cardiology by the AOBIM - Active Oregon License or willing to obtain - Minimum of 2 years' work experience as an Interventional Cardiologist - Must have ties to Oregon (i.e., family in the area or has lived in OR at some point) **Skill Requirements** - Demonstrated competence and experience in performing at least 150 percutaneous coronary interventional procedures with acceptable outcomes within the past 24 months - Ability to interpret coronary angiograms, ventriculography, and hemodynamics - Management of complications of percutaneous interventional coronary procedures - Experience with rotational atherectomy and other interventional devices **Requirements** - Facility will only allow bids from providers with active state licenses: Yes - Board Certification Required: Yes - Clean History: Yes - IMLC Accepted: No
