**Locums-Perm Medical Oncologist/Hematologist - Coos Bay, OR** **Coverage Need** - Position Type: Full-Time or Part-Time (48 hours per pay period for part-time, 80 hours per pay period for full-time) - On Call: 7 days of call including one weekend, 1:4 (primarily critical lab calls) - Weekend Description: 7 days of call including one weekend, 1:4 (primarily critical lab calls) **Position Details** - Seeking a Medical Oncologist and/or Hematologist to join the cancer center in Coos Bay, OR. - Outpatient at a free-standing cancer center; no inpatient consults, only outpatient clinic visits, and collaboration with infusion. - Average number of patients per day: 10-15 - New 19-chair infusion room with an onsite mixing pharmacy and nurse navigation. - Radiation Oncology available onsite. - 8-hour workdays - The center serves as the primary hub for top-tier cancer care across the southern coast of Oregon. - Demographics: Roughly 20% Hematology, 80% Oncology. - Affiliated with Oregon Health Sciences University and part of the OHSU Knight Cancer Network. **Submissions Requirements** - Board Eligible (within 2 years) or Board Certified in Medical Oncology and/or Hematology. - Active Oregon License or willingness to obtain. - Experience practicing Radiation Oncology is preferred; include details in the "Experience" field. - Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or willingness to obtain. - Must have ties to Oregon (e.g., family in the area or has lived in OR at some point). - Indicate interest in either part-time or full-time employment. - Facility will only allow bids from providers with active state licenses: Yes - Clean History: Yes **Skills Requirements** - Medical Oncology: - Hematology: - Experience with outpatient oncology clinic management - Ability to collaborate with a nurse infusion team - Strong record or recent graduate experience practicing Radiation Oncology preferred **Compensation and Benefits** - Total compensation $600k+ based on experience and training for full-time (40 hours per week) - Potential sign-on bonus - Relocation assistance, if applicable - Comprehensive benefits package including 6% match - Generous PTO and CME allowance - Licensing and professional fee allowance - Onsite Employee Health and Wellness Clinic - Onsite Child Care and Learning Center - Open to H-1B and J-1 visa candidates - Open to new Fellow graduates as far out as 2025
