Responsibilities
We are seeking pediatric hospitalists for our pediatric hospital medicine service in a community hospital setting in southeast Idaho.
The role of a pediatric hospitalist at Portneuf Medical Center includes:
- Caring for medical patients in the Pediatric Unit.
- Consulting pediatric patients in the emergency department and surgical patients.
- Current experience with sedation and non-invasive ventilation highly preferred.
- 7 on 7 off schedule
- Round in hospital, with call from home
- Opportunities to develop sedation program
- Sister program 30-minutes away at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center for collaboration and consultation
- Opportunity for faculty appointment with Idaho College of Osteopathic Medicine
- Leadership opportunity available
About Portneuf Medical Center and the community:
Portneuf is a teaching hospital and clinical site for the Idaho State University Family Medicine Program, University of Utah Psychiatry Rural Track, Idaho College of Osteopathic Medicine and Washington, Wyoming, Alaska, Montana, Idaho Medical Education Program. Teaching opportunities and faculty affiliations abound.

- Board Certified Pediatrics
- Board Certified Pediatric Hospital Medicine preferred but not required
