Outpatient Pediatric Opportunity in California

We are seeking a qualified Pediatrician to provide locum tenens coverage at an outpatient clinic in California. This locum tenens opportunity offers an ideal work-life balance with a manageable patient volume, no on-call responsibilities, and a three-day-per-week schedule. 

Position Overview:

• Position Type: Locum Tenens
• Work Schedule: 3 days per week (8:30 AM - 5:00 PM)
• Patient Demographics: Newborn to 18 years old
• Patient Volume: 18-21 patients per day
• Support Staff: Medical Assistants (MAs)

Job Responsibilities:

• Provide high-quality, patient-centered pediatric care for children from newborn to 18 years old.
• Diagnose and treat a wide variety of pediatric conditions.
• Ensure that patient care is consistent with the clinic’s guidelines and standards of care.
• Work closely with Medical Assistants to ensure smooth patient flow and efficient use of clinic resources.
• Complete charting and documentation using the clinic’s NextGen EMR system.
• No call responsibilities: this is strictly an outpatient, daytime schedule.

Position Requirements:

• Board Certification/Board Eligibility (BC/BE) in Pediatrics or Family Health.
• Active DEA License.
• BLS Certification.
• Prior experience with outpatient care in pediatric settings is preferred, though not required.
