- Complies with set Policies and Procedures (i.e. name tag, dress code, parking, smoking, etc.)
- Ensures that the security policies and procedures as they relate to patients, hospital personnel and visitors are followed.
- Follows established inspection schedules of facility to ensure security and safety practices are maintained and update daily log sheets as appropriate.
- Guards GCRMC property against fire, theft, vandalism, and illegal entry.
- Patrols, periodically, buildings and grounds of physical plant, docks and area work site.
- Examines doors, windows and gates to determine that they are secure.
- Warns violators of rule infractions, such as loitering, smoking, or carrying forbidden articles, and apprehends or expels violators.
- Inspects equipment and machinery to ascertain if tampering has occurred.
- Watches for and reports irregularities, such as fire hazards, leaking water pipes, and security doors left unlocked.
- Observes departing personnel to guard against theft of company property.
- Permits authorized persons to enter property.
- A combination of directly related training and/or experience is typically required for carrying out the responsibilities for this job.
