We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Inpatient Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) to join our growing behavioral health team at Sumner Regional Medical Center. This role will primarily focus on providing mental health services to geriatric and adult patients who have been admittted to our psychiatric inpatient units. Experience is necessary for this role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive psychiatric care to geriatric and adult patients in inpatient psychiatric units.
- Conduct psychiatric assessments, diagnose mental health conditions, and develop individualized treatment plans.
- Collaborate with primary care providers and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless continuity of care.
- Monitor patients' progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
- Educate patients and their families on mental health conditions and treatment options.
Qualifications:
- Current certification as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP)
- Active state licensure as an NP (or eligibility for licensure)
- Experience in providing mental health services to geriatric and adult populations required
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment

About Sumner Regional Medical Center
Sumner Regional Medical Center is a 155-bed acute care hospital that has been serving Gallatin and the surrounding communities since 1959.
