Job Summary:
DUTIES INCLUDE BUT NOT LIMITED TO:- All standard duties as outlined in the “Physician Assistant” or "Nurse Practitioner" job description
- Lead and facilitate monthly APP meetings (in collaboration with the practice manager)
- Training of new APPs
- Lunch education/continuing education for ongoing education of clinic APPs
- Creation of clinic APPs schedule to ensure physician requirements are met
- Recruitment/interviewing new APPs for the clinic
- Training related to EMR coding/auditing
- Read, understand and adhere to all HCA Physician Services Policies and Procedures.
- Practice and adhere to the Code of Conduct and Mission and Values Statements.
- Ability to lead in a team setting
- Ability to work autonomously as a physician extender is required
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Ability to prioritize and organize workload
- Ability to work well under pressure
- Ability to participate effectively as a member of a team
- Ability to present a positive image of the facility and clinic
- Ability to maintain patient confidentiality
- Ability to resolve conflict
- Ability to simultaneously perform multiple tasks
- Ability to participate in business case presentations
- Ability to write and implement process documentation
- 5+ years of Cardiology experience required
- Graduate of an approved Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner Training Program
- Possession of a Utah Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant License
- Possession of an active national certification
