Community Information - Woodward, OK

Woodward, Oklahoma, is a city of 12,051 residents, the county seat of Woodward County, and the largest city in a nine-county area. The area was historically occupied by the Kiowa, Comanche, Cheyenne and Arapaho tribes. Because of its location on the Great Western Cattle Trail, the town was established in 1887 by European-American settlers after construction of the railroad to that point. In the 19th century, it was one of the most important depots in the Oklahoma Territory for shipping cattle to the East. Today, Woodward is home to the US District Court of western Oklahoma, and just east of the city, you will find Boiling Springs State Park with many natural artesian springs that seem to boil up from the sand.

TeamHealth has an excellent full-time opportunity for a physician to join our emergency department team at AllianceHealth Woodward in Woodward, Oklahoma. It is home to a 10-bed ED with an admission rate of 10%. EMR at the facility is MedHost and 12-hour and 24-hour shifts are available.
