Interventional Pain Management opening in VA
Located in Alexandria, Virginia
Full-Time & Permanent
Seeking a BE/BC Interventional Pain doctor to join practice.
- This position will see non-surgical patients with pain complaints as well as pre- and post-surgical patients.
- In addition, this position will require seeing non-interventional spine patients and other acute and subacute musculoskeletal patients.
- The successful candidate for this position is expected to work closely with spine surgeons and other physicians in the practice.
Procedures this provider would commonly perform include:
- Trigger point injections (medicine into the muscle)
- Joint injections (often includes steroid component)
- Nerve blocks
- Epidural steroid injections (for nerve related pain)
- Medial branch block and radiofrequency ablation (RFA) (for pain due to arthritis)
- Kyphoplasty (for fractures of the vertebra)
- Spinal cord stimulation (an advanced form of therapy when injections/medications/surgery have not provided relief)
