POSITION SUMMARY:  Provides primary administrative support to the following areas of responsibility:

  • Hospital Administrator/COO
  • Hospital Administration / CFO

3) Administrative offices and Executive staff (as needed).

Provides support in a timely and professional manner and performs diverse administrative and secretarial functions.  Handles matters both of a routine nature and assignments requiring independent decision-making.



Requirements

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION:  High school diploma or equivalent required.  Associate Degree or 2 years Technical Training is preferred.

CERTIFICATION/LICENSES:  None.

SKILLS:  Must be proficient in all Microsoft Office Suite applications (e-mail, Scheduler, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word) at intermediate to advanced level.  Ability to work independently with minimal instruction; highly effective organizational skills, decision making and problem solving; effective communication and excellent customer relations skills; competence in secretarial, word processing, phone etiquette, spelling and grammar.  Ability to read and write in English required.  Bilingual in Spanish preferred.  Medical terminology preferred.

EXPERIENCE:  Five years administrative/office management experience required, with two years experience substituted for post high school training. Additional four years administrative/office management experience required.  Previous experience in a hospital/health care setting preferred. Knowledge/experience in the following areas preferred: (1) Contracts; (2) Ability to respond quickly and correctly to situations that arise; (3) Bookkeeping / accounting knowledge; (4) Be pro-active in providing assistance to COO/CFO.

NATURE OF SUPERVISION:

-Supervised by: Executive Assistant to CEO / Board of Directors

-Responsible to:  COO / CFO

-Responsible for: None

ENVIRONMENT:

- Bloodborne pathogen A

Works in clean, well-lighted, ventilated, smoke-free environment.  Subject to stressful professional relationships.  VDT exposure.  Working hours are varied, and are frequently longer than an 8-hour shift.  Flexibility in starting and ending times is required due to unexpected changes in schedule and urgent work deadlines.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:  Ability to sit for long periods of time at a computer terminal, using sound ergonomic principles.
