Locums Cardiac Anesthesiologist Physician
We are
seeking an experienced Cardiac Anesthesiologist for a locum tenens position in Burlington,
Vermont. This role focuses on providing anesthesia care for a variety of
cardiac procedures, including on and off-pump CABG (Coronary Artery Bypass
Grafting), valve repairs and replacements, and vascular procedures. It is an
excellent opportunity to work in a top-tier healthcare facility, providing
specialized care in a dynamic environment.
The scope
of practice includes managing 1-2 cardiac cases per day, with relief at 5:00
p.m. The position involves a mix of solo cases and supervision of residents.
The anesthesiologist will provide cardiac anesthesia, including general
anesthesia, intubation, IV placement, spinal and epidural for post-op pain (not
OB), arterial line, central line, pulmonary artery catheter placement, and
diagnostic TEE. The cardiac call will be from home on a 1:6 rotation, with no
generalist or other call responsibilities.
Requirements:
- Board
Certified/Board Eligible (BC/BE) in Anesthesiology
- Current BLS/ACLS
certifications
- TEE
certification or testamur status is required
- Must be
experienced in handling a range of cardiac cases
- Vermont
license (or willingness to obtain)
